How We Built Betmaze for Mobile Browsers
Last updated: October 11, 2026
We didn't build a separate app, and we did that on purpose. Our site runs in the browser already on your phone, which means no app store approval delays, no forced updates, and no questions about why a casino app isn't listed on the Google Play Store (it generally can't be, under UK app store rules). Here's exactly how mobile play works on Betmaze, and how to get the smoothest experience whether you're on an iPhone, an iPad or an Android handset.
Why we skip the app store
Apple and Google both restrict real-money gambling apps in their stores across most markets, the UK included, or they require separate approval routes that add friction for players. We sidestepped that entirely by building Betmaze as a responsive web platform. The site detects your screen size and adjusts the layout automatically, whether you're on a 6-inch phone screen or a tablet held sideways. You get the same games, the same account, the same balance, without ever visiting an app store.
This also means there's nothing to install, nothing taking up gigabytes of storage, and nothing that needs updating every few weeks. When we ship improvements, they're live the moment you refresh the page.
Getting started on iOS (iPhone and iPad)
- Open Safari (Chrome and Firefox for iOS work too, but Safari gives the smoothest video playback on live tables).
- Go to the Betmaze site and log in, or tap Register if you're new.
- If you're asked about cookies or notifications, you can accept or decline; either way the site works fully.
- Rotate your phone to landscape for live dealer tables if you want a bigger view of the felt and the dealer.
- Bookmark the page or add a home-screen icon (steps below) so you're one tap away next time.
Getting started on Android
- Chrome is the default and works well, but Samsung Internet and Firefox are also fine.
- Visit the Betmaze site, log in or register.
- Some Android browsers show a small banner offering to add the site to your home screen; you can use that or do it manually (see below).
- If your connection drops mid-session on mobile data, the site reconnects and restores your balance and game state when the connection returns.
Adding a home-screen shortcut
A home-screen shortcut turns the Betmaze site into something that looks and behaves like an app icon, without being one. Tap it and the browser opens straight to our site, already logged in if you chose to stay signed in. It takes about ten seconds to set up.
| Device | Steps |
|---|---|
| iPhone / iPad (Safari) | Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen, scroll down and tap 'Add to Home Screen', then tap Add. |
| Android (Chrome) | Tap the three-dot menu in the top right, tap 'Add to Home screen' or 'Install app', then confirm. |
| Android (Samsung Internet) | Tap the menu icon, choose 'Add page to', then select 'Home screen'. |
Managing data use while you play
Live dealer tables stream video, which uses more data than slots or table games with static graphics. If you're playing on mobile data rather than Wi-Fi, a few habits make a real difference to your monthly allowance.
- Stick to slots and RNG table games on mobile data if you're watching your allowance; they use a fraction of the data that live video tables do.
- On live tables, check if your connection or browser allows a lower video quality setting; smaller screens don't need the highest resolution stream to be playable.
- Close other apps that stream in the background, such as music or video apps, while you play live tables, since they compete for the same bandwidth.
- Use Wi-Fi where you can for longer live dealer sessions, and save mobile data for slots or quick sessions.
- If your connection is unstable, slots and classic table games tend to cope better than video streams, which may buffer or drop quality.
Battery and performance tips
Casino games, particularly slots with heavy animation and live tables with video, are more demanding on your battery than reading an email. A few small adjustments keep sessions smooth.
- Lower your screen brightness a notch; it's the single biggest battery saver during long sessions.
- Close unused browser tabs, since each one keeps running in the background and competes for memory.
- If a game feels slow to load, try reloading the page once; this clears any cached issues without needing to log out.
- Keep your phone's browser updated through your device's normal app updates, since browser updates often improve video and graphics performance.
Your account works the same on every device
Your balance, game history, deposit limits and any self-exclusion or cool-off settings carry across phone, tablet and desktop, because it's all the same Betmaze account. If you set a deposit limit on your laptop, it applies the next time you log in on your phone. If you start a slot session on the train and finish it at home on a larger screen, your balance and spin history are exactly where you left them.
Staying in control on mobile
Mobile play is convenient, which is exactly why it's worth setting limits before a session rather than during one. Our account settings let you set deposit limits, time reminders and cool-off periods, and these apply whether you're logging in from a phone, tablet or desktop. If you ever feel your play is becoming a habit you want to step back from, GamCare (0808 8020 133, https://www.gamcare.org.uk/) and BeGambleAware (https://www.begambleaware.org/) are free, confidential, and available whatever device you're using to read this. Betmaze is for players aged 18 and over.

How We Built Betmaze for Mobile Browsers
Do I need to download an app to play Betmaze on my phone?
No. Betmaze runs entirely in your mobile browser, on both iOS and Android. There's no app store listing and nothing to install; you just log in through Safari, Chrome or another mobile browser.
Which mobile browsers work best with Betmaze?
Safari on iPhone and iPad, and Chrome on Android, both give smooth performance for slots and live dealer tables. Firefox and Samsung Internet also work well if you prefer them.
How do I add Betmaze to my home screen?
On iPhone, tap the Share icon in Safari and choose 'Add to Home Screen'. On Android Chrome, tap the three-dot menu and choose 'Add to Home screen' or 'Install app'. It takes a few seconds and gives you a one-tap icon.
Does playing live dealer games use a lot of mobile data?
Yes, live tables stream video and use noticeably more data than slots. If you're on a limited mobile data plan, we'd suggest sticking to slots and RNG table games when off Wi-Fi, and saving live tables for a Wi-Fi connection.
Will my balance and limits be the same if I switch from phone to laptop?
Yes. Your account, balance, game history and any deposit limits or cool-off settings are shared across every device, since they all connect to the same Betmaze account.
